A long time ago, when everything was new, all children played without fear.
To some of his children Tunkasina (Grandfather) had given strong eyes, and they liked the heat of the day. For these children Tunkasina put a big light in the sky, and they ran free over the prairie.

Other children had weaker eyes. They liked to play in the leaves and in the grasses under the trees. For these children Tunkasina put a little light in the sky, and it came out, when these children woke at the end of the day.

Everyone was satisfied. Day followed night, and night came after the day. No one had to worry. Tunkasina was happy, and he always came to visit.

His work was good.

But, then, something terrible happened.





One night the little light did not show up ! ! ! ! !

Deep darkness was everywhere. The night-children went outside, but right away they were lost. They ran back and forth, and their crying woke up the whole camp. Fathers could not find their sons, and mothers could not find their daughters.

Fear shook everyone. They had never felt this way before, and they didn't know what to do. Fear was like a damp fog creeping over everyone. It chilled the bones of the worn, old men. It confused the senses of the trusted, wise men.

Everyone kept turning around and looking over his shoulder. There was great danger.

Tunkasina heard the cries of his children and the running footsteps of the parents. He also felt the danger that was threatening his children.

He rushed down from his place to see what had happened.

He looked and looked -- and THERE IT WAS ! ! ! ! The sky was empty......There was no little light in the sky.

And he began searching for her. He looked and looked.....And then he found her.

She was sleeping with another man. She had been unfaithful to him, and she had neglected his children. When he found her it was terrible. He dragged her from the bed and tore her over rocks. He beat her and pounded her. He shook her and slapped her. He punished her and he shamed her.

Then he threw her away ! ! ! ! !

That was a long time ago.

Look at her now.

You can see that she is wandering here and there in the night. And she still has the marks and the bruises on her.

She will never be the same again.

She is shamed. When she gets close to the big light, watch her. She will hide her face. And, when she is far from the big light, she will look out again.

Maybe someday Tunkasina will take her back again.

This is how Fear -- Evil -- came to the children that Tunkasina always wanted to be happy.

The Legend of Sica Hollow

There is a place that today is called Sica Hollow. It is deep and dark, and long memories live there. Few people, except the Sisseton, know its entrance, and these people keep its story a secret.
Once it was a shelter for many camps. Quiet smokes rose up to the prairie. North Wind tried every opening into the Hollow, but the great trees held back his white breath.

Deer and antelope slipped into the folds of the Hollow. They found open water and salt, when all the earth above was hard with ice.

Great tipis lay under buffalo robes, and the old men sat every day in their meeting houses. Their bones were warm, and their pipes prayed to Ate, who had blessed them.

But a stranger came from the west into the Hollow.

His bow was broken and his moccasins were worn. He had no family. He made a sign to say his name was Hand. He was not fall, and his eyes were thin. The young girls looked at him, and something told them to be afraid.





He ate much, and did not show thanks. He laughed under his breath at the old men, and no one saw him pray. He did not smile like good men do, nor did he tell stories.

The old women said he should be sent away. But it was cold outside the Hollow, and thick ice covered the Big Stone Lake. The old men said he would go when it was warm.

After several moons the great light in the sky, the Sun, began to move back to the north. Earth began to open and let out her young. Young braves quit their winter games and crept out of the Hollow to search for fresh meat and for the eggs of water birds that flew at night from the south.

Hand was older and slyer, and he showed the young boys many tricks. He hid like a lynx in the grass. His eye drew the game to him. He was proud and laughed at the mistakes of the young men.

Around the prairie camp fire, when the old men could not hear, he said, "Why do you follow the old ways? What little glory do you have? In the dark of the night I can bring you to big kills that will make you warriors, feared by everyone. You will be great chiefs and wear scalps at your belts. Not the tails of rabbits. Will you listen to me, and keep my secrets away from the council fires?"

It was spring, and the young braves' hearts were beating for the beautiful maidens hidden in their mothers' tipis. A great kill would prove manhood, and the maidens would surrender to marriage.

"Listen, then, to me and prepare your war clubs. Soon the Valley trail will be dusty with camps moving north to the Lakes of Rice. If you follow me, you will strike many coups, and you will have many eagle feathers in your hair. You will be men, not old skeletons who sit and dream in the lodges."

This talk stirred the blood of the youths, and they made war clubs and waited. Every dawn they watched the Valley in order to make their first kill.

And it was easy.

The people of the HoIlow had a always been good. The Camps who passed them sent signals of friendship and slept safe on the open earth.

Now no more. Hand had taught the boys to strike.

Travelers woke to wail over their dead. They ran for their lives into the tall grass, holding their hands over the mouths of the little ones. Blood ran everywhere. It fell into the River, and even today this River is called Red.

The horror spread into the Hollow. Children ran for fear when they saw the dripping scalps. Women and girls spat on the tracks where the boys walked. The old men called for a Council and for the Medicine Man.

"How can we make up for what our Sons have done? How can we wash our Hollow from this crime? What will be our Sacrifice? We want our Hollow to be as it was long ago.

Wicasa Wakan listened to the old men. He went to his own lodge to listen to Wakantanka. He sat with his whistle and rattle and burning sweetgrass. He did not sleep, but his eyes were closed. He waited for Thunderer to bring him a message.

And Hand did not sleep. He and his killers lit a big fire in the middle of the camp. They leaped and killed again and again. They bragged and shouted to the girls, "Lift up the tipi walls and follow us out into the grass. Your children will have our blood in them and everyone will tremble when they call out."

But the camp listened only to the Holy Man and prayed with him. An evil had come into their Peace, and only Thunderer could cleanse it from them.

A wind stirred . The whistle and rattle in the lodge stilled. Ate, Father, had heard his people. He had accepted their sacrifice. His messenger was coming.

Through the smoke holes women saw the dark wings of Thunderer. A flash and then another come from his eyes.

Sudden fear touched the shoulders of Hand. He crouched and shook like a water reed. Madness took him, but he could not escape. He ran and ran, but the wings of Thunderer beat him back into the flood that rained from the cloud.

Vines reached out for him and took him by his ankles. The water rose to his screaming mouth and to his gaping eyes. He was too evil to cry for mercy, and the talons of Thunderer ripped out his sight, so he would never see the Happy Hunting Ground.

Wakantanka did not take all the sacrifice offered to him by his people in the Hollow. Most sat in their tipis and went to God with a prayer.

But one was saved. By her father she was called Fawn.

When the Wicasa Wakan had began his prayer Fawn slipped into the door of her mother's tipi. Her hair was black as a raven and long. With a bone she began to comb it and oil it. She set it into two braids and tied the ends with a bit of ermine. From her bundle she drew her tassled dress and high white moccasins. Her Medicine was calling her to flee the rising water.

Up and up the steep slope she flew. The water rose higher behind her. All the world was covered. On the top of the highest hill she stood bright and smooth-skinned in the sun light. She was alone, the only one of her tribe not touched by man or by the evil that Hand had brought to her people.

She began her song, and the Great Spirit behind the Sun listened:

"I am grieved for the evil that my brothers did. Your beautiful land is destroyed. I stand alone with you. Let me sing my song, before I join my sisters. You were good to us before evil entered our Peace. Now I grieve. I ask your kindness. Ate make this ground, where I stand, holy again. Remember this little spot and send your love here. From this ground make a new people and they will worship you always. Now I go to you."
Her song and her great grief made Fawn drop to the ground and she slept. The eye of Wakantanka saw her, and he sent a white cloud to cover her. She slept many days, and the cloud covered her.

She could not feel it, but from the cloud new life stirred in her. She felt no pain either, but a motion awakened her. It was a child hungry for her milk.

A tall brave looked down on her and touched her face.

Below her the Hollow was clean and bright again. Only the memory lingers--Sica Hollow. Some day even this bad name will be changed and be forgotten. Gentle smokes will rise again. It will be called by its old name -- Mokoce Waste. (Good Land)

The Script are a three-piece Irish pop rock band from Dublin, Ireland. They are currently based in London after signing to RCA Label Group imprint Phonogenic, and their multi-platinum selling debut album The Script was released in August 2008. The band members are Danny O'Donoghue (lead vocals and keyboard), Mark Sheehan (guitar and vocals) and Glen Power (drums and vocals).


Early Meeting
O'Donoghue and Sheehan met in their late teens in the James's Street area of inner-city Dublin, near the Guinness brewery, gravitating to each other through a shared obsession with music, and in particular a love of American black music. "At that time, MTV only came on in Dublin after midnight, it was the fuzzy channel, and for my generation black culture was just a wave through us all," explains Sheehan. "It wasn't about gangs and guns; it was fashion and fun, singing and dancing."

Striking up a songwriting and production partnership, O'Donoghue and Sheehan's talent was recognized early, and, to their astonishment, they found themselves invited to the States to collaborate with some of their production heroes, including such legends of modern R&B as Dallas Austin.They were based in the US, but moved back to Dublin where they recruited Glen for their new band. Glen Power had been playing sessions from fifteen years old, using the money to work on a solo project in his home studio. But that went on hold when his collaboration with Mark and Danny produced three songs in one week. "I had never had a chance with any other band to express myself with such freedom." The band signed to Phonogenic in Spring 2007, and released an EP on Last.FM.

The Script were the remnant of a band that had formed in 1996 called "My Town". They achieved moderate success in Ireland and the UK but were overshadowed by the thriving boyband circuit. There were originally four members; Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, Terry Daly and Paul Walker. However when the band reformed as "The Script", Daly and Walker never got involved and new drummer Glen Power made up the new trio. The band's influences include a diverse group of artists that include U2, The Police, The Neptunes, Timbaland, and Van Morrison, all of which contribute to their distinct sound..

Kanker Tulang
Awalnya "cuma" tampak benjolan yang sering diboncengi rasa nyeri. Tapi karena didiamkan, benjolan itu menjelma menjadi monster yang sungguh mengerikan. Dokter menyebutnya kanker tulang osteosarkoma, jika diabaikan bisa menyebabkan si penderita cacat. Lebih gawat lagi, kanker ini umumnya menyerang anak-anak dan remaja di masa pertumbuhan. Kalau mau selamat pasien harus ditangani secara cepat dan tepat.

Awalnya tumor atau "daging tumbuh" tidak terasa sakit atau mengganggu, hingga banyak orang cenderung meremehkannya. Tapi ketika mulai muncul rasa nyeri tak terperi, biasanya penderita akan panik mencari pertolongan, termasuk ke dukun pijat.

Nyeri yang dirasakan penderita osteosarkoma sepertinya memang berhubungan dengan tulang. Makanya tak heran kalau kebanyakan dari kita kemudian lari ke dukun pijat. Apalagi bila pada lokasi nyeri pernah terjadi kecelakaan kecil atau terkilir ketika berolahraga. Penderita mengira keseleonya kambuh lagi dan minta dipijat.

Selama beberapa waktu, mungkin keluhan akan hialng, tapi tiba-tiba rasa sakit itu bertambah parah dan terjadi pembengkakan. Ada rasa panas yang menjalar dari kulit ke tulang. Bagian tubuh yang terkena juga semakin terasa sulit digerakkan. Misalnya terjadi di kaki sehingga jalan akan pincang. Nah, jika semua gejala-gejala tadi muncul, jangan tunda lagi berobat ke spesialis ortopedi.

Usia belasan tahun




Osteosarkoma, kependekan dari osteogenik sarkoma, hanyalah satu dari keluarga besar tumor dan kanker tulang yang jumlahnya puluhan. Repotnya, gejala semua penyakit itu hampir mirip-mirip. Sekarang ini diperkirakan ada 53 tumor tulang dan 21 kanker tulang. Di namakan osteo (tulang) dan sarcoma (kanker jaringan ikat) karena merupakan kondisi beberapa sarkoma yang timbul di sekitar tulang.Yang perlu diwaspadai dari osteosarkoma adalah kebanyakan menyerang anak-anak usia delapan sampai belasan tahun, meski bisa juga muncul pada usia 50-70 tahun. Anak lelaki atau perempuan peluang terkenanya sama, tapi semakin bertambah umur, risiko akan meningkat pada anak lelaki.

Sampai detik ini para ahli belum bisa menjawab apa peyebab pastinya. Diduga kecepatan pertumbuhan tulang selama masa remaja turut memberi andil, meski proses persisnya masih menjadi misteri. Situasi itu diperparah dengan faktor-faktor risiko, seperti terpapar radiasi sinar X dan adanya kelainan DNA pada tulang, yang terjadi pada kanker mata anak-anak (retinoblastoma), pertumbuhan sel tulang abnormal (displasia tulang), sindrom Li Fraumeni atau sindrom Rothmund Thomson.

Donor tulang
Penanganan osteosarkoma di zaman sekarang ini sebenarnya mencatat banyak kemajuan. Jika sebelumnya operasi berarti amputasi, kini pengobatan dikombinasikan dengan kemoterapi. Memang terapi ini cukup memakan waktu yaitu tiga siklus kemoterapi (1 siklus = 3 minggu), ditambah pengobatan neo-ajuvan (pendukung) dan dilanjutkan kemoterapi kembali.

Jika terapi awal tadi masih dianggap jelek, pasien disiapkan menuju kamar bedah. Umumnya pasien tingkat II atau III akan menjalaninya. Di meja operasi, dokter punya dua pilihan, yakni menyelamatkan tulang dengan menutup jaringan rusak dengan jaringan lunak yang ada, atau amputasi.

Berkat kemajuan teknologi, sebenarnya saat ini amputasi bisa dihindari dengan cara tulang diberi protese atau donor tulang. Tumor diangkat dan bagian tualng yang rusak diganti dengan protese dari baja atau dengan donor tulang dari mayat. Cuma, di Indonesia cara ini masih kepentok masalah ketiadaan donor tulang dan juga dibutuhkan keahlian khusus dari dokter yang melakukannya.

Secara sejarah, bahasa Indonesia merupakan salah satu dialek temporal dari bahasa Melayu yang struktur maupun khazanahnya sebagian besar masih sama atau mirip dengan dialek-dialek temporal terdahulu seperti bahasa Melayu Klasik dan bahasa Melayu Kuno. Secara sosiologis, bolehlah kita katakan bahwa bahasa Indonesia baru dianggap "lahir" atau diterima keberadaannya pada tanggal 28 Oktober 1928. Secara yuridis, baru tanggal 18 Agustus 1945 bahasa Indonesia secara resmi diakui keberadaannya.

Fonologi dan tata bahasa dari bahasa Indonesia cukuplah mudah. Dasar-dasar yang penting untuk komunikasi dasar dapat dipelajari hanya dalam kurun waktu beberapa minggu. Bahasa Indonesia merupakan bahasa yang digunakan sebagai penghantar pendidikan di perguruan-perguruan di Indonesia.

Brendon is featured as lead vocals of "Nearly Witches" credited to the band The Paul Revere Jumpsuit Apparatus on the Citizens FOB Mixtape released as part of a viral marketing campaign spearheaded by Fall Out Boy with help from other Decaydance Records bands. Urie is featured in Forgive Durden's album Razia's Shadow: A Musical as Pallis, one of the princes of the city of Darkness. Urie featured in Fall Out Boy's music video for A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me as one of the vampires. Urie is also featured in Fall Out Boy's song 20 Dollar Nose Bleed and What a Catch, Donnie from their 2008 album Folie à Deux.

George Ryan Ross III
(August 30, 1986) lead guitar, keyboards, vocals (2004-present)
Ryan was born and raised in Summerlin, Nevada to parents Sandra and George. He attended Bishop Gorman High School. He studied creative writing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas but dropped out after a semester to focus on music.Ross got a guitar for Christmas when he was 12, and began collaborating with best friend and future Panic drummer, Spencer Smith. Ross and Smith mostly covered Blink-182 songs with Ross on vocals. Their band was called Pet Salamander.Ross also played lead guitar and solo on Fall Out Boy's "The Take Over, the Breaks Over".






Jonathan Jacob Walker
(September 17, 1985 )
bass guitar, vocals (2006-present)
Jon grew up in Chicago with his parents and two older brothers, Bill and Mike. He was a bass technician for The Academy Is... (and is credited in the liner notes for Santi). Having previously met Walker when the band was on tour with The Academy Is..., Panic at the Disco asked him to fill in for departed bassist Brent Wilson. In August 2006, Walker became an official member of the band. Walker uses both Gibson and Fender guitars. He attended Bartlett High School and graduated in 2004.

Spencer James Smith
(September 2, 1987)
drums, percussion (2004-present)
Spencer grew up with his parents and two younger sisters in Summerlin, Nevada. He and Ross met at a young age and became school mates. After receiving a drum set for Christmas in 1999, Smith and his childhood friend Ryan Ross, who played guitar, began to play music together. They were in a series of bands together, culminating with Panic at the Disco.

HARRY POTTER AND DEATHLY HALLOWS

Harry Potter memasuki umur 17 tahun di mana ia mencapai umur kedewasaan secara dunia sihir. Sebelum berumur 17 tahun, Harry masih terlindung dari Voldemort selama ia tinggal di rumah keluarga Dursley yang memiliki pertalian darah dengannya. Dengan memasuki umur kedewasaannya, mantera itu akan terangkat dengan sendirinya dan mengharuskan Harry untuk melindungi dirinya sendiri.

Atas informasi dari Severus Snape, Lord Voldemort dan para pengikutnya mengetahui informasi mengenai akan terangkatnya mantera perlindungan ini dan berencana untuk menyergap Harry ketika ia akan meninggalkan rumah keluarga Dursley. Voldemort juga sedang mencari tongkat sihir baru yang dapat mengatasi tongkat sihir Harry. Sesaat sebelum mantera perlindungan Harry berakhir, keluarga Dursley diamankan ke tempat yang dirahasiakan, dan beberapa anggota Orde Phoenix tiba untuk mengawal Harry ke tempat yang aman. Enam orang menyamar sebagai Harry, tapi Harry yang asli ketahuan dalam perjalanan dan diserang oleh Voldemort dan para Pelahap Mautnya. Harry berhasil melarikan diri ke rumah keluarga Weasley, the Burrow, tapi Hedwig dan Mad-Eye Moody terbunuh dalam pertempuran.

Pencarian Horcrux...



Dalam resepsi pernikahan Bill Weasley dan Fleur Delacour, Patronus dari Kingsley Shacklebolt muncul dengan peringatan bahwa Kementerian Sihir telah kalah dan para Pelahap Maut sedang mendatangi mereka. Harry, Ron, dan Hermione melarikan diri dengan berdisapparate, dan akhirnya berlindung di markas besar Orde Phoenix yang telah ditinggalkan di Grimmauld Place nomor dua belas, rumah yang diwarisi Harry dari Sirius Black. Di rumah ini, Harry mendapati bahwa ternyata adik Sirius, Regulus yang tewas oleh Voldemort, memiliki nama Regulus Arcturus Black yang berinisial sama dengan "R.A.B." yakni orang yang mengambil Horcrux liontin Salazar Slytherin dari gua pinggir laut yang tersembunyi.[HP6] Hermione teringat pernah melihat sebuah liontin di antara barang-barang milik Kreacher, peri rumah di tempat itu. Kreacher memberitahu bahwa Mundungus Fletcher telah mencuri liontin itu dari si peri rumah dan menggunakannya untuk menyogok Dolores Umbridge. Yakin bahwa liontin itu salah satu Horcrux yang sedang mereka cari, ketiganya memasuki Kementerian Sihir menggunakan samaran Ramuan Polijus. Mereka berhasil mengambil liontin itu dari leher Umbridge tanpa disadarinya, tapi tempat persembunyian mereka di Grimmauld Place berhasil diketahui musuh.

Ketiga sahabat itu melarikan diri. Mereka tidak berhasil membuka apalagi menghancurkan liontin itu, dan bergantian memakai liontin itu untuk menjaganya. Mereka juga berhasil mengetahui bahwa pedang "warisan Dumbledore" yang ditahan oleh kementerian sebenarnya adalah pedang tiruan; dan bahwa pedang Gryffindor yang aslilah yang dapat menghancurkan Horcrux-Horcrux itu. Harry hendak mencari pedang itu, tapi Ron, yang khawatir akan keamanan keluarga dan kecewa karena ternyata Harry tidak memiliki rencana apa pun dari Dumbledore, meninggalkan Harry dan Hermione. Keduanya kemudian pergi ke Godric's Hollow untuk mencari pedang itu. Di sana, mereka disergap oleh Voldemort dan Nagini. Ketika mereka berhasil melarikan diri, Hermione tanpa sengaja mematahkan tongkat sihir Harry.

Di Hutan Dean, Harry melihat sebuah Patronus berbentuk Rusa betina di dekat tempat mereka berkemah. Patronus itu membawanya ke sebuah kolam es berisikan pedang Gryffindor. Ketika Harry berusaha untuk menyelam ke dalam kolam es untuk mengambil pedang tersebut, Horcrux liontin yang dikenakannya tiba-tiba mengetat dan berusaha mencekik lehernya. Ron, yang menggunakan Deluminator untuk mencari Harry dan Hermione, tiba dan berhasil menyelamatkan Harry dari tenggelam di kolam itu, mengambil pedang, dan kemudian berhasil menghancurkan liontin itu. Ron memperingatkan Harry dan Hermione bahwa nama Voldemort sekarang telah menjadi dimanterai terlarang - sehingga orang yang berani menyebut nama itu akan menyebabkan tempatnya bersembunyi akan tersingkap.

Asyiknya jadi anak pintar. Langganan ranking satu, masuk kelas akselerasi atau juara lomba sains. Eits, tapi siapa bilang kita enggak bisa seperti mereka. Bisa kok!

Genius......Genius.......Genius......Apa sih Genius ituh???
Kita biasa menyebut mereka genius. Anak-anak superpintar yang beruntung bisa masuk kelas akselerasi dan menghemat waktu sekolah. Uuuh, bikin iri. Eh, tapi, jangan asal panggil mereka anak genius. Dalam ilmu psikologi dan dunia pendidikan, mereka biasa dipanggil anak berbakat alias gifted child.
Genius itu berarti dia berhasil menciptakan karya yang diakui oleh manusia, seperti Einstein. Anak genius itu pasti anak berbakat, tetapi anak berbakat belum tentu termasuk genius. Jadi, lebih aman kalau kita pakai istilah anak berbakat daripada genius. Karena genius itu cuma digunakan untuk mereka yang benar-benar luar biasa pintar dan inovatif. Pokoknya sudah canggih banget deh!

Siapa yang berbakat?
Lalu, apa sih yang bikin seseorang tergolong anak berbakat? Paling kelihatan, ya, dari IQ-nya. Taruhan deh, kita sering menilai seseorang pintar atau enggak dari IQ-nya, kan? Tapi, itu aturan lama! Zaman sekarang penilaian itu enggak cukup cuma dari IQ. Menurut Prof Joe Renzulli, psikolog pendidikan asal Amerika, seseorang dikatakan berbakat kalau mempunyai nilai di atas standar pada tiga macam karakteristik, yaitu kemampuan umum, komitmen tugas, dan kreativitas. Konsep dari Prof Renzulli inilah yang dipakai Kelompok Kerja Pendidikan Luar Biasa (KKPLB) untuk mendeteksi anak berbakat.

Kemampuan umum yang dimaksud di sini antara lain adalah daya tangkap, kemampuan numerik (matematika), dan wawasan kita. Ini akan langsung ketahuan dari nilai IQ kita. Selain IQ, ada dua kemampuan lain yang enggak kalah penting.

Komitmen tugas adalah perasaan senang saat kita sedang menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan. Ini biasanya kelihatan dari perjuangan, kerja keras, dan keuletan kita. Pantang menyerah gitulah.


Ada lagi ciri lain anak berbakat. Suka tantangan! Mereka juga mandiri dan enggak takut mengambil risiko.

Gimana sih cara mereka belajar?
Adanya inisiatif dan kemandirian tinggi membuat mereka terampil mengatur jadwalnya tanpa harus dibantu orang lain. Wah, jadi malu nih. Soalnya, banyak di antara kita yang baru belajar kalau disuruh ortu.
Duh, hebat banget sih! Kayaknya hidup anak berbakat asyik banget! Eh, tapi, enggak juga lho.

Problem anak berbakat
Semakin tinggi IQ seorang anak, ia akan semakin merasa beda. Anak berbakat punya kebutuhan berbeda dibandingkan dengan anak lain yang seusianya. Contoh, mereka cepat banget menangkap ilmu yang diajarin sehingga gampang kesal kalau menghadapi orang yang enggak sepintar dia. Kemampuan bahasa mereka yang biasanya di atas rata-rata juga sering membuat mereka mendominasi pembicaraan dan sulit mendengarkan orang lain.

Persoalan-persoalan yang dihadapi anak berbakat biasanya seputar dunia pergaulan. Kenapa ya?Sebab, perkembangan pikiran mereka lebih maju dibandingkan dengan perkembangan emosi. Sering terjadi, anak berbakat justru dianggap aneh oleh orang lain. Anggapan ini muncul karena cara berpikir mereka yang terlalu kreatif. Mereka sering melontarkan ide-ide nyeleneh yang dianggap aneh bagi banyak orang.Mereka juga sering diperlakukan berbeda oleh orang-orang di sekitarnya.
Hidup anak berbakat memang akan semakin susah kalau orang sekitarnya enggak bisa memahami dia. Di Indonesia sendiri, fasilitas untuk mereka masih belum memadai.


Jadi anak berbakat
Sebenarnya dari mana datangnya anak berbakat? Ada dua faktor. Pertama, faktor keturunan dari keluarga. Nyokap-bokap yang pintar kemungkinan besar akan melahirkan anak yang pintar juga. Faktor kedua yang enggak kalah penting adalah lingkungan. Ini berjalan sepanjang kehidupan kita. Kita mendapatkannya dari pola asuh orangtua, teman-teman, dan benda-benda di sekitar kita. Kebanyakan anak berbakat dibesarkan dalam lingkungan yang mendukung potensinya.Fasilitas di rumah juga ikut mendukung. Pengaruh faktor lingkungan yang dahsyat ini juga memberikan pencerahan buat kita. Bahwa sesungguhnya kita yang IQ-nya normal pun bisa maju seperti anak berbakat!
Tapi, tetap ada syarat utama. Minimal IQ kita 100. Ini adalah patokan IQ normal. Kalau syarat ini sudah terpenuhi, kita kembangkan kemampuan lain, yaitu kreativitas dan komitmen pada tugas. Keberhasilan malah lebih tergantung pada dua aspek ini lho! Enggak percaya?
Lihat saja kisah orang sukses. Enggak ada yang ngomongin IQ. Mereka lebih menekankan kerja keras dan panjang akal.

Kerja keras, mandiri, pantang menyerah, kritis, kreatif, senang menyerap ilmu baru, dan berani ambil risiko adalah beberapa sifat penting yang harus dikembangkan supaya bisa sehebat anak berbakat. Jangan cuma gigit jari dan iri hati melihat mereka. Di dalam diri kita tersimpan potensi yang menunggu untuk dikembangkan. Sekarang pertanyaannya, apakah kita mau mengeluarkannya?
